CENTRAL MARKET BY PACIFIC EXPRESS

Central market carries a historical heritage which sees through Kuala Lumpur’s development across the years. We have decided to host our guests at this very unique area for it’s convergence between nostalgic memories and rapid development. Come join us in a journey of colourful culture, vibrant nightlife and a diversity of local arts & crafts.

CENTRAL MARKET

Central Market is situated within walking distance of the hotel, and is definitely a must go. Central Market originated as a wet market way back in 1888, built by the infamous Yap Ah Loy, the city’s Chinese Kapitan. It served as a prominent landmark in colonial and modern-day Kuala Lumpur. When the wet market was relocated in the 1980s, the Malaysian Heritage Society successfully petitioned against the demolition of the building. Today, Central Market Kuala Lumpur is not just an iconic attraction, it also houses a diversity of art, crafts and culture in one beautiful place for tourists, shoppers and art lovers.

PETALING STREET

Petaling Street is a very popular landmark market place in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia for the good food and bustling ambience all day and night. You are welcomed by local merchants and shopkeepers with a diversity of culture and products to feed all your appetites. From its cultural significance to a multitude of sumptuous food stalls, you are promised with an authentic Malaysia experience in one place. The entire stretch of the market area is covered with a green awning covering the roof to protect the shop owners and visitors from rain and heat. Petaling Street lights up at night with bright neon lights and the whole place thrives with life, energy, happy shoppers and food lovers throughout the day.

DATARAN MERDEKA

The infamous Dataran Merdeka, also known as the Independence Square, is a squared area located in Kuala Lumpur, which is not too far from our hotel. You will find the square situated right in front of sultan Abdul Samad Building. Dataran Merdeka signifies the beginning of our Independence, to the racial harmony and multicultural society we enjoy today. Most tourist will put this place on their must visit spot for the historical significance embodied in a well-preserved colonial style architecture.
